Sonoma County evenings are made for sharing a bottle of wine, lingering over a plate of fresh local cuisine and creating lasting friendships. At these intimate winemaker dinners, you’ll share the evening with the winemakers whose creations have earned international acclaim. Paired with the stellar culinary creations of a local chef (perhaps the winery’s own), any dinner you select promises to be a classic wine country evening to remember.

Russian River Valley Appellation

At this casual-yet-elegant dinner hosted by John and Diane Bucher at their private home, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Russian River Valley while indulging in an incomparable lineup of estate wines. The evening starts with a short walk in the vineyard, sipping on Rosé of Pinot Noir perfectly paired with Tomato Essence Gazpacho.John and Diane will share stories of their family’s 60 years of farming on Westside Road, their diversification into grape growing and winemaking and their family winemaking philosophy. Your five course dining experience will be paired with Bucher Wines’Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs. You will feast on Chef Ken Rochioli’s Dungeness Crab, Jicama and Mango Salad, an intermezzo of Mycopia Mushroom Risotto, followed by Black Pig Bacon-wrapped Scallops and Liberty Duck with Bucher Fig and Lavender Sauce. You’ll end the evening revisiting your favorite wines while indulging on Flourless Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Coulis. It’s an outdoor affair of wine and food that you’re sure to remember.

Dry Creek Valley Appellation

Tucked into the forest on a tranquil bench above their Grey Palm vineyard in the beautiful Dry Creek Valley, Cast Wines grows and crafts limited quantities of wines that highlight the best grape sources of Sonoma County. You’re invited to experience the property’s spellbinding views of the Western Hills and Bradford Mountain from the Cast Wines terrace, where you’ll savor a five-course farm-to-table meal prepared by Peloton Culinary & Catering and paired perfectly with Cast Wines. Cast Winemaker Mike Gulyash has spent the majority of his career making wine in Sonoma County, and he’s a master at coaxing out the essence of a vineyard, creating a balanced style that reflects the vineyard. This unique event is your opportunity to enjoy expressive wines in the heart of their provenance while relaxing in a sublime corner of Sonoma County.

Russian River Valley Appellation

Join the Founder of DuMOL Winery, Kerry Murphy, for this first-time-ever dining experience at the Barn at Flax Estate Vineyard near Healdsburg. Resting on a sylvan, rolling hillside off Westside Road, the estate encompasses 52 prime acres with planted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards and access to a Russian River beach. The promise of wine country living stretches out before you in picture-perfect panorama—rows upon rows of vines, twisted oaks and wide-open space, and you’re invited to relax and unwind during an afternoon of world class wines and exquisite cuisine. Since DuMOL’s first harvest in 1996 they have thoughtfully assembled an unparalleled collection of vineyard sites that they individually farm to capture their full beauty. Kerry will select his favorite DuMOL wines, known for their signature of intrinsic structure, balance and complexity, to be paired with locally sourced ingredients for each palate-pleasing course.

With the Mayacamas Mountains serving as a backdrop, the hilltop patio at Fog Crest Vineyard, in the Russian River Valley, has become a favorite gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. In addition to the stunning view, guests are treated to unparalleled hospitality, whether just visiting for a casual tasting or enjoying a lavish dinner event. Continuing the tradition of hospitality at its pinnacle, Fog Crest Vineyard owners James and Rosalind Manoogian and winemaker Jerome Chery will be hosting a “Dinner in White”. Come dressed totally in white, according to a French tradition begun in 1988, to elegantly celebrate a unique meal in a unique place. The casually elegant white on white décor will serve as the perfect palette to present the multi-course gourmet French repast created by Chef Heidi West, meticulously paired with Fog Crest Vineyard Rosé, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Chef Heidi has been catering in Sonoma County, Napa Valley and the North Bay for over 20 years, and is highly regarded for her support of local growers and producers of organic and sustainable agricultural products. She takes great pride in using only the freshest local and seasonal ingredients. You will feast on Camembert & Fig Tartine – Salad of Summer Melon, Jambon di Bayonne, Chevre , Frisee, Baby Arugula and Shallot Vinaigrette – Seared Maple Leaf Duck Breast, Duck Fat Roasted Potatoes, Black Truffle Aioli, Haricot Vert – Chocolate Pot de Crème with Montmorency Cherry Pinot Noir Sauce and Whipped Cream. A visit to Healdsburg’s SIMI Winery is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of Sonoma County winemaking. One of the oldest continuously producing wineries in Northern California, SIMI first made wines in 1876 and has been making wines in the same stone cellar since 1890. Join SIMI’s imitable winemaking team in the redwood grove for our famous Pizza Competition. Channel your inner Top Chef to create a pizza recipe to pair with one of SIMI’s wines, compete with your friends for culnary bragging rights, then enjoy a family-style meal with pizzas from the wood-fired oven prepared by Executive Chef Kolin Vazzoler and plenty of SIMI’s award winning, critically praised lineup of wines. As it’s our 140th Anniversary, allow us to treat you to a taste of history with some retrospective selections from our cellar. It’s an evening celebrating Sonoma County’s storied winemaking past—and a peek into its brilliant future.

Now open in the heart of Sonoma’s Russian River Valley, the La Crema Estate at Saralee’s Vineyard is the new home of La Crema, the much-loved producer of elegant wines from cool-climate, coastal appellations. Situated atop a grassy knoll overlooking the storied Saralee’s Vineyard, this new destination is a center for wine education, community and family, featuring unique guest experiences and an engaging environment where guests can be a part of all that is La Crema. You’re invited to the first winemaker dinner at the new estate, where each of the vineyard-designated Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs, Gewürtztraminers and Rosés La Crema produces, along with other unreleased wines, will be paired with farm-fresh Sonoma County cuisine by Chef Tracey Shepos Cenami. Be the first! This evening promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience at this iconic Sonoma County property.

You’re invited to spend a wine country evening of fun, food and world class wines on the terrace at Viszlay Vineyards in Healdsburg. Soak up the wonderful hillside views of the Mayacama Mountains while sipping on Viszlay’s small lot single vineyard estate wines.You’ll start with Viszlay’s exclusive Prosecco, grown on the property, and delight in appetizers of grilled prawns and smoked salmon. There will be wonderful tasty local cheeses and fruits to complement the wines. Chef Mama Tina will prepare a mouthwatering main course of filet mignon and homemade mushroom ravioli. The wines will be selected from the top line of Reserves and Library treasures including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Viszlay’s proprietary Bordeaux style blend and Petite Sirah. Dessert with cherries jubilee and port, of course, will seal the evening. Owner and winemaker John Viszlay will share stories of his early days here  at the winery, and will provide fascinating insight into the winemaking process at this oh-so-Sonoma property.
