    From Highway 101 heading North take the River Road/Guerneville exit.Come to the stop light and turn LEFT going over the freeway. Travel approximately 6 miles thenRIGHT onto Wohler Road. Stay on Wohler Road; cross over narrow bridge. Turn RIGHT onto Westside Road. Follow Westside Road for about ¾ mile. The entrance to MacMurray Ranch is on the LEFT side of the road.

    From Highway 101 heading South take the Westside Road exit (in Healdsburg). Take a RIGHT onto Westside Road heading west. Stay on Westside Road for approximately 15 minutes to the MacMurray Ranch. The entrance to MacMurray Ranch is on the RIGHT side of the road.

    Sonoma Wine Country Weekend is offering ROUND-TRIP TRANSPORTATION to and from Taste of Sonoma at MacMurray Estate Vineyards on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from locations throughout Sonoma County and Marin.

    Please book your shuttle ticket at the time of purchasing your Taste of Sonoma ticket within the options in our on-line store. If you have already purchased your Taste of Sonoma ticket and still need to book your transportation, please call 855-939-7666 to reserve your seat on a Pure Luxury Shuttle.

    PLEASE NOTE: ALL Shuttles will be on a time sensitive schedule and will depart on time. The Shuttle will not wait for late guests wanting to board the bus.

    Shuttles will begin lining up at 3:30 pm and depart MacMurray Estate Vineyards no later than 4:15pm. Buses will not depart before all seats are full.  If you miss this time frame, you will be responsible for your own method of transportation.

In this unique sensory tasting you will learn how the professionals pair wine with the flavors of a meal. Winemaster Randy Ullom will lead you through a tasting of the winery’s hand-crafted, limited release wines paired with delectable original recipes developed and presented by Kendall-Jackson’s Executive Chef Justin Wangler.  In celebration of the seasonal bounty of the 2½-acre Kendall-Jackson culinary garden each fresh ingredient is harvested and prepared to work in tandem with the flavors of the wines. These pairings promise to reveal the nuances of flavor in both the wine and the food. It’s a rare opportunity to discover Kendall-Jackson’s more obscure wines paired with the creations of a masterful chef who is intimately acquainted with both the winery and its garden.

Legacy of the Land: Over 150 Years on a Russian River Valley Ranch

Experience the living history of MacMurray Estate Vineyards through an exhibition from the MacMurray family archives detailing ranch life from the late 19th Century to today. The exhibit is displayed in the oldest structure on the ranch, called the Prune Shed in reference to the principal Russian River Valley cash crop of the early 1900s. From subsistence farming to elite Pinot Noir, the history of MacMurray Estate Vineyards tells a story of Sonoma County agriculture from the 1850s to the 21st Century. Join us in experiencing this exhibition while enjoying MacMurray Estate Wines.

Many of you have heard reports of the earthquake that struck in south Napa early Sunday morning. While there are losses of wine and structural issues for several wineries in Sonoma County, overall damage seems to be relatively minor across the county.

We are grateful that the effects are not greater, and we are pleased to report that all Sonoma Wine Country Weekend activities will proceed as planned over Labor Day Weekend.

Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation pays tribute to the generosity of Sonoma Wine Country Weekend guests and local residents. Through these gifts, we are able to support the Hospital by providing for needed equipment and facilities for the health of those in the community and those who visit our town. Recently, Sonoma Wine Country Weekend provided a grant that allowed us to bring in a new portable x-ray machine. With this equipment, we are better able to treat patients at their bedside and make more immediate decisions for their care. #SWCWThe Proceeds Matter!! Ceres Community Project engages teens as volunteer gardeners and chefs, giving them direct, hands-on experience of the difference that fresh, healthy foods and community service make, and building life, work-ready and leadership skills. The free or low-cost, nutrient-rich organic meals they prepare—88,000 in 2014—are delivered to individuals and families in Sonoma and Marin counties who are dealing with a serious illness such as cancer. Meet Dean Vincent Borgioni, Annadel Estate Winery
Self-proclaimed “beach bum and traveling motorcycle guy” Dean Borgioni discovered Annadel Estate Winery and, quite unexpectedly, put down roots. He transformed this crumbling grand dame into a flourishing flower farm, event destination and world-class winery. Sonoma Wine Country Weekend is pleased to support the Sonoma Valley Community Health Center. Having provided Sonoma with Primary Care Health services out of a small clinic since 1992, the SVCHC is thrilled to be moving to brand new, 18,000sq/ft facility in July of this year!
